Cabin fever

The month of January is almost over which each means spring is one month  closer but isn't coming soon enough for me. Looking around the house all I see is projects begging for a makeover, but the cold just won't let up enough for me to get the sander out.
This by far is the coldest winter I've experienced in North Carolina and it has met many cold records for the state.
So as my cabin fever peaks I desperately look for small crafts I can do indoors.
Tis time to replace the Christmas wreath.

Going into micheals I had no idea what type of wreath I wanted to make. Knowing my budget is tight I needed buy as few of things as possible. I aimlessly walked around picking up things here and there trying to peice together an idea in my head. Then I came across a cute letter and tiny numbers next to it.

Perfect I have everything else I need at the house only spending 8 dollars.

I had a lot of different type of colors of acrylic paint and found two I thought looked best with my house. Off white for the numbers
And you can't go wrong with blue.
I have this thick roll of rope and found a good exuse to use it.

I love hot glue gun and to keep the ends from coming apart I smothered them in the glue. Sorry for the blurry picture

Coming together

I hate when things are hanged and the rope slides all over so I make sure mine stays in place
I like it!

So now that I have done my second wreath this year I am officially ready for spring so I can move on to the things that truly make me happy.

Week long projects with sanding and staining I will enjoy you so much in a couple of months.

Hurry up warm weather!!!
